On August 17th, Tee It Up for the Troops Event in Hudson, Wisconsin was a great success as the organization celebrated it’s first Wisconsin fundraiser. The Atlas team were among 60 golfers that participated in the golfing event. Beginning with an uplifting ceremony, the event was followed by an 18 hole course. During the opening ceremony, tribute was paid to two local veterans– Richard C. Fina, who was killed in Vietnam in 1967; and Ellsworth’s Bert Hoyer, who died in Iraq in 2004. Although the total amount raised for the organization is still unknown, one things for sure; the Atlas team had a great heart warming experience.

According to the organization’s website, Tee It Up for the Troops has hosted over 300 events in 30 different states since their start in 2005. In just 10 years, they’ve been able to raise more than $5 million for wounded veterans.
