2018 Community Involvement

This past year has been filled with community involvement. We are proud to contribute to a variety of charities, while also having a little fun on the side. Here are some of the highlights of the events we sponsored and attended.

We kicked off the year with the “Superheros on Ice” fishing event. Some of our customers and employees joined while enjoying drinks on the lake. The event is a way to get employees and coworkers together to have a fun afternoon full of food, fun and fishing.

In the spring we sponsored the Roseville Fireballs Robotics team as they inspired the community to use STEM. This was our 5th year partnering with the team. We help to provide Roseville Area High School students with real world experience by creating fabricated sheet metal parts for their CAD models and designs. We also participated in the SpringFest 5K, a family fun event located at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds with proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley and the Chippewa Area Mentor Program. In addition to the 5k, we were a sponsor for a Stroll in the Park for Epilepsy, where the mission was to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and help families overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy.

We sponsored our first golf outing of the year on May 18th. This was at the 6th annual Chippewa Charity Classic 18-Hole Golf Outing in support of the Helpful Hearts Foundation and Jason’s Presents. Following the trend, we were sponsors and participants for a handful of other golf tournaments this summer. These included Golf to Make a Difference, Tee It Up For The Troops, and the Chippewa Valley Family YMCA. All of which contributed to making a difference for charities such as the Career Development Center, various veteran services organizations, and the Chippewa Valley YMCA.

As the year comes to the end, we are thankful for the opportunities we have had to improve our community and look forward to continuing this in the upcoming year.
